Artist Statement:

Mara Mayor loves the color and texture of tiny beads, particularly the Japanese delica beads that permit both experimentation and precision. She weaves them into intricate necklaces that are comfortable and eye catching. She finds inspiration in many places, from the windows of Frank Lloyd Wright to the designs of Venetian glass artisans. Her work has been shown in juried exhibitions, including at the Strathmore Mansion and the Glen Echo Park Labor Day Art Show.
