Artist Statement:

My work is best described as "my personal journey into woodworking through understanding and learning about trees." Whether it's ditchwood from the side of the road, a pilfered scrap from a friend's firewood pile, or even a several-hundred-dollar exotic burl (ethically harvested, of course), I want to see what's inside! Nature gives us incredible designs, colors, textures, and even smells! All are hidden inside every piece of wood and it's my passion to find the best way to present it.
